Healthy Eating

During the morning break pupils may eat a piece of fruit. Parents should provide this for children. During the afternoon children in Year R-Year 2 receive a piece of fruit under the national fruit and vegetable scheme. Children in the foundation year are offered a drink of milk each morning.

Your child should bring a plastic water bottle (available from the school office) so that s/he has access to water at any time during the day. The school has invested in water coolers to ensure a filtered supply of water for the children.

At lunchtime your child may bring a packed lunch or have a cooked meal. The latter should be purchased in advanced weekly.

Sticky sweets, lollipops, any form of gum, glass bottles, cans and sparkling drinks are banned from the premises at all times for obvious health and safety reasons.
