Danny Sullivan

Danny is a primary teacher by training and was subsequently a primary headteacher, primary schools adviser to Bishop Crispian Hollis and Director of Education for the Diocese of Oxford. Danny has published in the field of children’s RE and in children’s spirituality.

Danny has served as a Hampshire magistrate in both the family and criminal courts.

Danny was Chair of the National Catholic Safeguarding Commission for England and Wales from 2012 to 2016 overseeing national procedures and guidelines and being the spokesperson for the Church on matters of safeguarding and abuse.

Danny is a member of the STEP Academy Trust which has 13 schools. The Trust works specifically with failing schools to turn them around and give children the best possible education which is their right. Danny was its chair until 2015.

Currently Danny does some advisory work for the Department for Education supporting Academy Trusts with effective governance and financial administration.

Danny has a grandson who attends the school.
