St Bede’s Family Association (SBFA) is a charity registered with the Charity Commission (RCN: 1151554)., raising funds for St Bede’s Catholic Primary School, Basingstoke
Our main aim is to use the money we raise to support the school in providing educational and recreational enrichment to the pupils and their families.
In addition to our legal responsibilities for the charity, we also support the school by organising volunteers for school events or services.
All parents and carers of children in the school are members of the association. Each year a committee is elected at our Annual General Meeting. The committee make key decisions about how money raised is spent. They also organise fundraising events that build community spirit in the school.
Projects funded by the SBFA range from new grass for the Year R block garden, to a 3D printer for KS2. We also cover several annual costs such as the Leavers Shirts for our Year 6 pupils, Science Week for the whole school, crackers for school Christmas dinner and ice lollies for St Bede’s Day.
